Hobby Update 4/5/15

Hello All,

Just getting out a quick Hobby update.

I must be getting old because I seem to be painting slower than I used to. :)
Of course I am working on NOVA Open projects, Star Trek Attack Wing projects, as well as My own.

Attack Wing

April 11th is National Tabletop Day and Game stores all over the place will be running demos of board and War games. I will be running a demo of Attack Wing from 4-5 PM at Comics and Games Fairfax  Swing by if you are interested in seeing what this is all about.

Goblin Town

I have recently started working on my own modular goblin town game board for The Hobbit SBG. It has been a bit of a trial as I do not actually have a working idea of what I want it to finally look like.

(The whole modular part.) Anyway here is where it is at right now.

I am really liking this game. Recently I finished a cool Dead Zone board. Read about that here: 

I have also been building terrain for the game and finished 3 pieces. I decided to set them up on part of the game board.

The tower took a lot of resources but it looks so cool.

Journal 35 -NEW Dwarfs (Sort of)

ARRR!!! That Be Profit I See.

Hello all, 

I just saw the pre-orders up for Dwarfs and I had to share my reaction. This is from an email I sent to a friend a few minutes ago. 

"OMG.

4 new kits? That's it? wow. almost 9 years and 4 kits...

I hope the rumors are true  about weekly releases rather than monthly.

Then I can hope that some better stuff is coming out. (Like a book or something)

Or GW just removed all the other units from the book so any other company that ever made a dwarf model would find their sales reduced or gone all together. I'm looking at you Nids!"

Journal 30 Quick Hobby Update

Hello All,

Happy New year and all that. I Just wanted to share a fer of the projects from 2013 I have been finishing up lately. I hope you enjoy them.

The Space Rats- I am building a Veer-Myn /IG army for my son to use for Sci-Fi Games. I have finished a few models as test schemes What do you think?

recent works

Hello All,

This has been a slow week for me Hobby wise. I only managed to get a hand full of models finished. I did Manage to get a Fantasy game last Saturday. I brought out my Dwarfs and took on a tough WOC force at 1500 points. we played the full 6 turns and at the end I managed to lose. I had a good time. The Purple sun is a beast of a spell vs. Dwarfs. :(

SKAVEN PROJECT UPDATE (Part 8)

There have been sightings of previously unseen Rat things in the cities of men. The only known image of these dangerous creatures is below...



I managed to get the Night runners unit completed a few days ago. They came out OK but I didn't build them just painted them. I could not get a good pic to come out so I decided to have a little fun with it.


Lastly The Great and powerful Lord Thanquol and Bone Ripper have been painted but still need to be hit with Dul coat.

1500 point Dwarf army

Hello All,

This is a list I came up with a short time ago. It is a 1500 point Dwarf Army.

Here they are in all their glory



The Army was built using army builder. Basically I built it ignoring the 7th ed restrictions. it is simple but direct. I plan to ttry it out soon. I want to see how good the Dwarfs have gotten. Below is the army list.
